How to prepare for a job interview at X4 Technology
✨Know Your Juniper Inside Out
Make sure you brush up on your knowledge of Juniper SRX firewalls, especially the SRX2300 and SRX300 models. Be prepared to discuss specific configurations, security policies, and any migration experiences you've had. This will show that you're not just familiar with the technology but can also apply it effectively.
✨Demonstrate Problem-Solving Skills
During the interview, be ready to share examples of how you've tackled challenges in previous roles, particularly around firewall migrations or troubleshooting. Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your answers, making it clear how you approached problems and what the outcomes were.
✨Prepare for Technical Questions
Expect technical questions related to installation, configuration, and testing of firewalls. Review common scenarios and be ready to explain your thought process. Practising with a peer or mentor can help you articulate your knowledge clearly and confidently.
✨Engage with Stakeholders
Since liaising with client stakeholders is part of the role, think about how you would communicate technical information to non-technical audiences. Prepare to discuss how you’ve successfully collaborated with teams in the past, as this will highlight your interpersonal skills and ability to work in a consultancy environment.
