We’re looking for an experienced Lead AWS Cloud Architect to join a major cloud migration and modernisation programme within a highly regulated environment. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll own the end-to-end cloud architecture strategy across AWS infrastructure, security, networking, identity, migration planning, and EUC modernisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading cloud architecture and technical governance across multiple workstreams
- Designing secure AWS Landing Zones and governance controls
- Driving cloud migration strategy, implementation, and cutover planning
- Overseeing Amazon WorkSpaces / Citrix modernisation
- Ensuring security, resilience, compliance, and operational readiness
- Working closely with senior stakeholders, SMEs, and delivery teams
Key skills required:
- AWS Architecture (multi-account environments)
- AWS Organisations / Control Tower
- IAM, VPC, KMS, GuardDuty, CloudTrail
- Terraform and/or CloudFormation
- Amazon WorkSpaces / AppStream / FSLogix
- AWS MGN / CloudEndure
- Entra ID / Conditional Access / MFA
- Strong governance and stakeholder management experience
Ideal background:
- 10+ years in cloud architecture
- Strong AWS experience within regulated or enterprise environments
- Experience delivering large-scale migration and transformation programmes
- AWS certifications highly desirable
