We're supporting a leading defence engineering programme looking for an experienced Electronics Systems Engineer with a strong hardware-to-systems background.

Key areas of interest include:

  • Ethernet interfaces & high-speed digital interfaces
  • Discrete signal processing experience
  • FPGA-based system design
  • Hardware/system integration & verification
  • Radar or high-integrity systems experience

You'll work across the full engineering lifecycle, supporting complex radar system architectures from requirements capture through to integration, test, and design assurance.

Key technical experience:

  • High-speed interfaces (Ethernet, JESD204, Serial FPDP etc.)
  • FPGA development (AMD/Xilinx, Vivado, Vitis)
  • PCB & COTS hardware understanding
  • System/sub-system integration
  • MATLAB for digital signal analysis
  • Versal or Zynq Ultrascale+ desirable

Ideal background:

  • Electronics Engineer who has progressed into Systems Engineering
  • Defence, aerospace, radar, or other high-integrity environments
  • AESA radar knowledge highly desirable

Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible for UK security clearance. This is a 12 month high pay contract opportunity.
