X4 Technology are partnered with a global energy trading firm on a major multi-year transformation of its Crude & Products business (oil, refined products, low-carbon fuels). The programme centres on shaping the end-to-end architecture of the Products Trading platform, with Endur (v26) at its core. The focus is on evaluating current capabilities, selectively leveraging Endur features and unlocking value without unnecessary over-customisation. You’ll architect across a complex ecosystem, designing a robust, scalable trading platform fit for the future. This is a high-priority, VP-sponsored programme with strong visibility, committed funding and a 5+ year delivery runway.
Requirements for the Contract Solution Architect (Integration)
- Proven experience designing and delivering integration-heavy architectures, including event-driven systems, microservices and modern integration patterns.
- Strong understanding of building scalable, resilient and maintainable integrated solutions.
- Ability to simplify complex landscapes, enabling seamless data flow and reducing monolithic dependencies.
- Strong Azure expertise, with a particular focus on integration technologies and data platforms such as Kafka, Azure Event Grid, Service Bus and related services.
- Domain experience in commodities trading (ideal), or adjacent sectors such as financial services, supply chain or logistics.
- Direct Endur experience is nice to have, but not essential.
The role is for a 6 month rolling contract, with multi-year scope. The rate is £750-900/d inside IR35, working in central London on a hybrid basis (3 days per week). This is a unique opportunity not only to apply your existing Solution Architecture and integration skills, but to also build highly sought-after Endur skills within an ambitious trading programme at one of the world's biggest energy companies.
