Role: Contract Solution Architect (Implementation focus)
Project: Trading platform transformation (Endur)
Industry: Energy trading
Contract: 6 months rolling (5 year programme)
Rate: £750-900/d inside IR35
X4 Technology are partnered with a global energy trading firm on a major multi-year transformation of its Crude & Products business (oil, refined products, low-carbon fuels). The programme centres on shaping the end-to-end architecture of the Products Trading platform, with Endur (v26) at its core. The focus is on evaluating current capabilities, selectively leveraging Endur features and unlocking value without unnecessary over-customisation. You’ll architect across a complex ecosystem, designing a robust, scalable trading platform fit for the future. This is a high-priority, VP-sponsored programme with strong visibility, committed funding and a 5+ year delivery runway.
Requirements for the Contract Solution Architect (Implementation)
Key to the programme is a hands-on, delivery-focused contract Solution Architect (Implementation) joining on a long-term basis. This role requires strong implementation and application development experience across cloud, full-stack and modern architecture patterns, rather than just theoretical design. We’re looking for the following:
- Proven experience building and delivering systems, with a strong understanding of how to code, integrate and scale platforms
- Ability to architect and integrate complex systems around Endur, with a focus on simplifying and modernising the platform
- Domain experience in commodities trading (ideal), or adjacent sectors such as financial services, supply chain or logistics
- Direct Endur experience is nice to have, but not essential
The role is for a 6 month rolling contract, with multi-year scope. The rate is £750-900/d inside IR35, working in central London on a hybrid basis (3 days per week). This is a unique opportunity not only to apply your existing Solution Architecture and implementation skills, but to also build highly sought-after Endur skills within an ambitious trading programme at one of the world’s biggest energy companies. Please apply online for immediate consideration.
