X4 Technology are partnered with a global Oil & Gas organisation to recruit a contract Data Scientist to join their Industrial AI team, delivering cutting-edge AI and data science capabilities across global operations. This team applies AI to a wide range of business problems including analysis of production asset data, experimental design for R&D, financial modelling and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
- Apply advanced AI & Gen AI to build solutions that empower business teams to make smarter, data-driven decisions.
- Lead and support projects by scoping AI initiatives, contributing to software development and streamlining digital analysis processes.
- Turn data into business impact through guidance to stakeholders and promotion of best practices in AI adoption.
- Collaborate globally with Data Science teams and business units worldwide to deploy scalable AI solutions.
- Drive innovation, identify new opportunities, solve complex challenges creatively and embed AI across industrial workflows.
Requirements:
- Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, AI or STEM discipline.
- 2+ years’ demonstrable experience applying data science and AI in industry or engineering contexts.
- Hands-on expertise in Python coding, Gen AI and core data science techniques.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with experience engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in data consulting, analytics translation, and software tool development is highly desirable.
