Project: CIPM 4.0 customer base engine

Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days per week)

Contract: 6-month initial contract (multi-year scope)

Rate: £750-900/day (Inside IR35)

X4 Technology are partnered with a global energy organisation on a strategic Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) transformation programme. They are looking for a Contract Solution Architect to support the delivery of CIPM 4.0, their next-generation Customer Identity Profile Management platform serving over 50 million customer identities across more than 60 enterprise applications. CIPM 4.0 will deliver a modernised, scalable and secure customer identity ecosystem capable of supporting future digital products and customer engagement channels across their global estate.

You will provide solution architecture leadership, consultancy and governance across the programme, ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements and strategic technology roadmaps. The role combines hands-on solution architecture delivery with stakeholder engagement, architecture governance and strategic technology planning across a highly visible enterprise transformation programme.

Requirements for the Contract Solution Architect (CIPM):

  • Proven Solution Architecture experience delivering large-scale CIAM, IAM, Customer Identity or Digital Identity transformation programmes within complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong expertise designing identity platforms covering authentication, authorisation, customer profiles, directories, self-service capabilities, APIs, webhooks and event-driven integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise identity technologies such as Akamai Identity Cloud, ForgeRock, Ping Identity, Okta, Auth0, Entra ID or Keycloak.
  • Strong enterprise architecture background with experience producing HLDs, solution blueprints and roadmaps, applying architecture governance, standards and frameworks such as TOGAF and ArchiMate.
  • Broad technical knowledge across cloud, integration, APIs, security and data, with a solid understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, MFA, privacy and identity governance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders and articulate architecture decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working within Agile environments across global, cross-functional engineering and product teams.

This is an initial 6-month contract with significant long-term scope as part of a multi-year strategic transformation programme.
