I’m currently supporting an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electronics Systems Engineer to join a cutting-edge project within advanced radar systems engineering. This role sits at a senior technical level, working closely with the System Design Authority and playing a key role across the full engineering lifecycle — from requirements definition through to integration, testing, and final sign-off.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading on digital electronics and FPGA-based system design
- Working with high-speed interfaces (e.g. JESD204, FPDP)
- Contributing to system architecture, integration & verification
- Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams (RF, software, mechanical, digital)
- Supporting key technical decisions including COTS vs bespoke solutions
- Gaining exposure to advanced technologies including AESA radar systems
What we’re looking for:
- Strong background in electronics engineering, with systems-level experience
- Hands-on experience with Xilinx/AMD tools (Vivado, Vitis)
- Experience with devices such as Versal or Zynq UltraScale+
Nice to have:
- Radar systems knowledge or signal/data analysis (MATLAB)
- Experience in integration, verification, or high-integrity environments (e.g. defence)
Contract details:
- Initial 6-month contract
- £80+ per hour (DOE)
- One-stage telephone interview
- Predominantly onsite on the Isle of Wight
