I’m currently supporting an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electronics Systems Engineer to join a cutting-edge project within advanced radar systems engineering. This role sits at a senior technical level, working closely with the System Design Authority and playing a key role across the full engineering lifecycle — from requirements definition through to integration, testing, and final sign-off.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading on digital electronics and FPGA-based system design
  • Working with high-speed interfaces (e.g. JESD204, FPDP)
  • Contributing to system architecture, integration & verification
  • Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams (RF, software, mechanical, digital)
  • Supporting key technical decisions including COTS vs bespoke solutions
  • Gaining exposure to advanced technologies including AESA radar systems

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong background in electronics engineering, with systems-level experience
  • Hands-on experience with Xilinx/AMD tools (Vivado, Vitis)
  • Experience with devices such as Versal or Zynq UltraScale+

Nice to have:

  • Radar systems knowledge or signal/data analysis (MATLAB)
  • Experience in integration, verification, or high-integrity environments (e.g. defence)

Contract details:

  • Initial 6-month contract
  • £80+ per hour (DOE)
  • One-stage telephone interview
  • Predominantly onsite on the Isle of Wight
