Backed by significant investment and experiencing strong growth, the business is expanding its commercial team and looking for ambitious sales professionals to join its London headquarters.

The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of the entire new business journey, from initial outreach through to securing new clients and supporting them through implementation.

You’ll be responsible for generating opportunities, building relationships with senior decision-makers, delivering consultative sales presentations, negotiating commercial agreements, and successfully onboarding new clients. Once a client is fully established, the relationship will transition to a specialist account management team, allowing you to focus on what you do best: winning new business.

Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager include:

  • Generate new business opportunities through proactive outbound activity
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand business challenges and commercial objectives
  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations and presentations
  • Negotiate and close new business opportunities
  • Manage clients through onboarding and implementation
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders including finance and operational leaders
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline reporting
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and leadership teams
  • Continuously develop market, product, and industry knowledge

Key Requirements of the Business Development Manager include:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in a business development, sales, recruitment, or client-facing commercial role
  • Proven experience in outbound sales and new business generation
  • Comfortable managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commercially minded with a consultative sales approach
  • Organised and capable of managing multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Ambitious, driven, and motivated by success
