We’re looking for an experienced HSE Engineer, Lead, or Manager to join a next-generation avionics client on an initial 6-month contract (outside IR35). This is a hands-on role where you’ll have real impact, ensuring safe operations, managing risk, and supporting a proactive safety culture in a high-tech aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support operational teams to plan and carry out work safely
- Lead and assist with accident, incident, and near-miss investigations
- Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments in line with UK HSE legislation and ISO 45001
- Contribute to safety communications, briefings, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate HSE records and reporting
Requirements:
- 5–10 years’ HSE experience, ideally in aerospace, aviation, or high-hazard industries
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent; ISO 45001 knowledge
- Strong practical understanding of UK HSE legislation, risk management, and incident investigations
- Ability to work collaboratively with operational teams to deliver safe, practical solutions
