Hybrid Working – Antenna Design Engineer – Advanced Phased Array Design

Contract | Majority Remote | Outside IR35 | Leading-Edge Satellite Communications

An Civilian Space exploration & satellite firm have a opportunity for an Antenna Engineer to help shape the future of phased array antenna technology for innovative satellite terminals. In this position, you\’ll work with advanced modelling and real-world testing environments to design and optimise antenna beam patterns that meet demanding performance requirements. Experience in Antenna design and Patch design

This is a hybrid role offering remote flexibility while working on technically challenging and meaningful engineering problems.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Knowledge of Antenna Design and
• Use tools like Ansys HFSS , Matlab , and Python for modelling, simulation, and performance optimisation

The following is beneficial:

• Bridge simulation with real-world performance via RF chamber testing and model refinement
• Collaborate cross-functionally to influence firmware, hardware, and software design based on RF findings
• Generate detailed reports and documentation for internal decisions and external communications
• Manage and utilise high-performance compute infrastructure for modelling activities
• Degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field, if you have industry experience in the following this is also beneficial (but not essential);
• Deep understanding of electromagnetics and antenna theory
• Proven experience in numerical modelling of EM fields
• Hands-on background in electronically steerable phased array antennas
• Majority remote – flexible working with limited on-site requirements
• Work on innovative, real-world satellite communications systems
