Technical Manager – Nuclear Operations
We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager – Nuclear Operations based in the West Midlands to lead technical excellence, ensure regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement across nuclear inspection and service delivery activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for technical operations within nuclear inspection and service delivery.
- Drive consistent, high – quality and safe service execution across all nuclear activities.
- Oversee technical governance, accreditations and compliance with nuclear regulations and industry standards.
- Represent the organisation in technical and regulatory committees, industry forms and professional networks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives within nuclear operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent professional recognition).
- Proven experience in technical leadership or advisory roles within the nuclear or other highly regulated industries.
- Strong understanding of RCC-M and ASME Section III codes and standards.
- Lead Auditor qualification (e.g., ISO 19443, ASME NQA-1).
- Experience managing regulatory audits, accreditations, and quality assurance programs.
- Competence in developing procedures, technical documentation, and training materials.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and authorise technical staff.
