I’m supporting a growing healthcare advertising agency that is looking to bring a Medical Writer into their expanding team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining scientific accuracy with creative communication, and who is looking to develop their skills across a wide range of promotional healthcare projects.
What you’ll be doing
- Create clear, accurate and engaging content across a variety of promotional materials, including digital assets, eDetails, sales aids, websites, congress materials, patient and HCP educational tools, and other multichannel deliverables.
- Review clinical papers, data and background literature to identify key insights and contribute to the development of communication strategies.
- Ensure scientific accuracy, consistency and alignment with brand messaging across your assigned projects.
- Collaborate closely with account teams, creatives and strategists, contributing scientific input and supporting the development of high-quality work.
- Conduct literature searches and desk research to support proposals, pitches and internal understanding of therapy areas.
- Participate in internal and client meetings, discussing your work, presenting scientific rationale and helping to translate data into meaningful messages.
- Work with senior writers and scientific leads to refine content, develop your capabilities and maintain high editorial standards.
What you’ll bring
- A life-sciences degree (postgraduate desirable) and previous experience as a medical writer within a promotional medcomms or healthcare agency environment.
- Ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, compelling and audience-appropriate content.
- Experience working on a range of deliverables within healthcare communications.
- Confidence discussing work with internal teams and clients, with the ability to listen, interpret feedback and adjust content accordingly.
- An interest in shaping content ideas and contributing to the scientific development of projects.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills and a collaborative approach to working.
