An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established and growing Building Services Consultancy delivering technically challenging projects across a variety of sectors. This role offers the chance to take ownership of projects, work closely with clients, and contribute to raising technical standards within a collaborative and forward-thinking team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead selected projects and support multidisciplinary teams on complex schemes.
- Attend key meetings and deliver client presentations.
- Contribute to technical excellence within the mechanical team.
- Build strong client relationships and support repeat business.
- Produce drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Prepare or oversee design calculations.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (Chartered or working towards), or HNC/HND with strong relevant design experience.
- Minimum 3–4 years’ post-qualification experience in building services design.
- Proficiency in software including Microsoft Office, Relux/Dialux, Amtech, and Revit.
- Strong knowledge of British and European Standards and Building Regulations.
- Familiarity with HTM guidance (beneficial).
- Professional membership (e.g., CIBSE or IET) desirable.
- Good understanding of HV/LV systems.
- Knowledge of embedded generation integration.
- Experience specifying renewable technologies.
- Working knowledge of BREEAM.
- Broad understanding of electrical engineering to confidently contribute in multidisciplinary meetings.
