Senior Certification Engineer

Job Title: Senior Certification Engineer Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 Location: Cheshire, UK Job Type: Permanent I am looking for a skilled Senior Certification Engineer to join an established organisation. This role includes technical evaluation, project management, mentoring, and supporting business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Define scope of certification projects and evaluate products against EN/IEC 60079 Series standards. Estimate project costs and prepare customer quotations. Plan and manage certification projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. Conduct or coordinate product testing and prepare compliance documentation. Issue certification reports and certificates per scheme procedures. Mentor and train junior engineers; conduct technical reviews. Represent the company at technical committees, industry events and exhibitions. Support lab equipment setup and other technical tasks as needed. Experience and Qualifications Required: Degree in Engineering or related field. Strong experience in product certification and testing (e.g., ATEX, IECEx). Experience mentoring and reviewing technical work.
