An award-winning, boutique healthcare communications agency is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join its growing team on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role, with flexibility around remote working and access to a lovely Central London office.

They have just had their best year to date, driven by significant organic growth across medical education and PR accounts. The agency works in disease areas such as oncology, neurology, rare diseases, respiratory, and others. Unlike larger network agencies, progression here is performance-led rather than tied to rigid promotion cycles, and senior leaders are intentionally building a culture free from unnecessary red tape.
The Role
As an Account Manager, you’ll play a key role across a diverse portfolio of accounts, including the agency's oncology account, supporting both account management and content development. This is a genuinely hybrid role, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with Clients, but also has a keen eye for data, detail, and scientific information.
You’ll support the development of a wide range of materials, including:
- Symposia and scientific meetings
- Leave pieces and handouts
- Product launch materials
- Slide decks and meeting reports
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple projects calmly and confidently, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
Development of scientifically accurate, compliant materials.
Act as a trusted day-to-day client contact, building strong and lasting relationships.
Coordinate internal teams (including digital and creative partners).
Manage events such as symposia, standalone meetings, and webinars (including speaker management).
Oversee budgets, tracking and reconciliation.
Use Veeva Vault PromoMats to upload, anchor, and manage materials through approval.
Contribute to agency initiatives and support continued business growth.
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- A degree-level qualification, ideally in a scientific subject
- 2-3+ years’ experience in an account handling role within a medical education or healthcare communications agency
- A strong medical education or communications background
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Strong writing and content development abilities
- A client-service mindset with exceptional attention to detail
- Understanding of the UK ABPI Code of Practice
- Confidence managing budgets and financials
- A collaborative, proactive approach within a fast-moving agency environment
