This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician who enjoys fault-finding, testing, and working closely with engineers on complex electronic systems.

Contract Details
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Location: Southampton (Onsite)
  • Contract Length: Initial 12 months
  • IR35 Status: Outside IR35
  • Working Pattern: 5 days/week Option for a 4-day onsite week + Fridays from home
  • Overtime Available
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Hands-on soldering and rework down to 0402/0603 component level
  • PCB assembly, modification, and repair work
  • Hardware testing and component-level fault finding on complex electronic systems
  • Working with high pin-count boards and precision electronic assemblies
  • Using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and DVMs
  • Supporting wiring, harnesses, looms, and general electronics build activities
  • Collaborating closely with engineers in a fast-paced robotics environment
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong background in electronics testing and diagnostics
  • Confident using standard electronic test equipment
  • Good soldering and PCB handling experience (for example replacing resistors on a board)
  • Experience supporting electronic and mechanical assembly work
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering environment
Desirable (But Not Essential)
  • Ability to read schematics and PCB layouts
  • IPC familiarity/certification
  • Interest in developing deeper hardware design knowledge
