An established multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join its growing team in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer to take a leading role in delivering a wide range of structural projects across multiple sectors including residential, commercial, education, healthcare, industrial, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion.
  • Prepare structural calculations, reports, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Manage project workloads, budgets, and delivery programmes.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and other consultants.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians within the team.
  • Attend site visits, inspections, and project meetings as required.
  • Ensure designs comply with current regulations, standards, and best practice.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Chartered status or working towards Chartership (MIStructE or MICE preferred).
  • Significant post-graduate experience within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK design standards and building regulations.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
