We are seeking an experienced Juniper Firewall Specialist for a one-week onsite consultancy engagement in Edinburgh on behalf of our consultancy client. The successful candidate will lead the installation, configuration, migration, testing, and handover of Juniper SRX firewalls within a production environment.

  • Immediate start preferred
  • Working through a consultancy client
  • Competitive day rate based on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure Juniper SRX2300 and SRX300 firewalls.
  • Perform firewall migration from existing infrastructure to new Juniper platforms.
  • Configure security policies, NAT, VPNs, routing, and security services as required.
  • Execute testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Support implementation and cutover activities.
  • Produce documentation and handover materials.
  • Liaise with client stakeholders and technical teams throughout the engagement.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Juniper SRX Series firewalls, specifically SRX2300 and SRX300.
  • Excellent knowledge of Junos OS.
  • Experience with security policies, NAT, IPsec VPNs, and routing protocols.
  • Proven track record delivering firewall deployments and migrations in enterprise environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently onsite.

Desirable

  • JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-SEC, JNCIP-SEC, or equivalent Juniper certifications.
  • Previous consultancy or professional services experience.
  • Experience working within customer-facing project environments.
