Senior Recruitment Consultant – Digital Health (US Perm)

The Opportunity

X4 Group is a specialist recruitment business founded in 2008, with over 150 employees across our offices in London, New York, Berlin and Devon.

We partner with some of the world’s most innovative organisations across Technology, Engineering, Life Sciences and Alpha, helping businesses secure exceptional talent in highly specialised markets.

Within our Life Sciences brand, we’ve launched a dedicated Digital Health desk.

While most of our competitors focus on traditional medical device and pharma, we saw a real gap in Digital Health and decided to go for it.

The desk is led by two of our top billers, each billing £750k–£1m in perm. Demand has grown faster than the two of them can cover, so we’re now looking to grow the team.

What makes this role different

  • Ownership of your own vertical, shaped around your background, whether that’s technical or commercial.
  • Smaller, fast-moving clients with less red tape and strong US investment behind them.
  • Exciting areas such as medical device software, telehealth, digital health platforms and technology moving into life sciences.
  • Average perm fees of £25–30k.
  • Commission of up to 50% of billings, banded quarterly and paid monthly.
  • Working alongside, and learning from, two proven top performers every day.

More than anything, we’re looking for people who want to build something of their own, with a team that will back them all the way.

The Role

As a Senior Recruitment Consultant, you’ll take ownership of your own Digital Health vertical, building long-term partnerships with clients and candidates across a fast-growing market.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Managing the full 360 recruitment lifecycle, from business development through to placement and account management.
  • Winning new clients and growing existing accounts across digital health, health tech and medical device software.
  • Sourcing and engaging specialist talent through Linked In, networking, referrals and headhunting.
  • Advising founders, hiring managers and leadership teams with consultative recruitment solutions and market expertise.
  • Managing interview processes, offer negotiations and candidate onboarding.
  • Delivering market intelligence, including salary benchmarking, talent mapping and hiring trends.
  • Building your personal brand as a trusted recruitment partner in the Digital Health market.
  • What We’re Looking For

You’ll ideally have

  • A proven track record in 360 perm recruitment, ideally within Life Sciences, Med Tech, Health Tech or Technology.
  • Experience recruiting technical or commercial talent, or the drive to build expertise in a specialist vertical.
  • Demonstrable success in business development and client relationship management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • A consultative approach and a passion for delivering exceptional client and candidate experiences.
  • The ambition to build a high-performing desk of your own.

Why Join X4?

  • Commission of up to 50% of billings, banded quarterly and paid monthly.
  • Transparent career progression with clear promotion criteria from day one.
  • Coaching and mentorship from experienced recruitment leaders.
  • Access to industry-leading recruitment technology, sourcing tools and market intelligence.
  • A collaborative, high-performance culture where success is celebrated.
  • Competitive basic salary + commission of up to 50%.
  • Company pension.
  • Mental health and wellbeing support.
  • Continuous Learning & Development programmes.
  • Access to industry conferences and networking events.
  • Two luxury international incentive trips every year.
  • Monthly Lunch Clubs recognising top performers.
  • Modern offices in the heart of Blackfriars, London.
  • Regular team socials, charity events and company celebrations.
