Day Rate: £250-300/day (OUTSIDE IR35)

Location: Hybrid (Up to 2 days per week in Glasgow)

Contract Length: 3-6 Months

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end support for telecoms project delivery, including planning, installation, commissioning, and handover of the network infrastructure across Scotland.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and associated telecoms equipment to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.
  • Conduct site surveys and produce accurate technical outputs to support installation design and implementation activities.
  • Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including network diagrams (Visio), as-built records, and customer handover documentation.
  • Create and implement Health & Safety documentation such as RAMS and POWRA, ensuring full compliance across all site activities.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience in network and systems monitoring, maintenance, and fault resolution within telecoms or enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of IP networking principles, including CCNA-level knowledge, WAN, LAN, and MPLS technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Nokia platforms such as Nokia SAR-H and Nokia NFM-P, including configuration and fault finding.
  • Solid knowledge of routing, switching, and data networking, with experience in XTran technology desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for producing clear and accurate network diagrams and technical documentation.
