The Opportunity
We are working with a specialist Control & Instrumentation business based in Bury St Edmunds, providing instrumentation, calibration, commissioning and process engineering solutions to customers across a range of process industries.
They are looking for a C&I Technician to join their team. This is a hands-on role involving the installation, commissioning, servicing, calibration and fault finding of a range of electronic and mechanical process control instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission and service process instrumentation.
- Calibrate a range of electronic and mechanical instrumentation.
- Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on instrumentation and control systems.
- Test and repair instrumentation where required.
- Work from technical drawings, schematics and instrumentation documentation.
- Carry out onsite commissioning and calibration activities.
- Complete testing and validation of instrumentation.
- Support FAT and SAT activities where required.
- Work safely and professionally across customer sites.
- Complete service, calibration and technical documentation.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within Instrumentation, Controls or C&I.
- Practical experience with process instrumentation.
- Experience installing, commissioning, servicing or calibrating instrumentation.
- Ability to fault find and diagnose instrumentation issues.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
- Good mechanical and electrical understanding.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites when required.
