The Opportunity

We are working with a specialist engineering business based in Leicester, looking for a

Hydraulic Engineer / Technician to join their team.

This is a hands-on role focused on the build, testing, commissioning, servicing and fault finding of hydraulic systems and equipment .

The ideal candidate will have practical hydraulic experience and be confident reading hydraulic schematics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and assemble hydraulic systems and equipment.
  • Read and interpret hydraulic schematics.
  • Test and commission hydraulic systems.
  • Service and maintain hydraulic equipment.
  • Carry out fault finding and diagnostics.
  • Calibrate and adjust hydraulic systems.
  • Install and replace hydraulic components including pumps, valves, cylinders and hoses.
  • Carry out pressure and performance testing.
  • Support repairs, modifications and system upgrades.
  • Complete work to a high standard and follow health & safety procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working with hydraulic systems .
  • Ability to read and understand hydraulic schematics .
  • Hands-on experience building, testing or commissioning hydraulic equipment.
  • Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and fault finding.
  • Good mechanical and practical engineering skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
