The Role
We are currently recruiting an Electrical Assembly / Wiring Technician to join a busy workshop environment in Aberdeen. This role is hands-on and build-focused, working on the assembly, wiring, strip-down and rebuild of electrical equipment to engineering drawings and schematics. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys practical build work rather than site-only maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical assembly and wiring of equipment in a workshop environment
- Control panel wiring, termination and testing
- Wiring of single-phase, three-phase and DC systems
- Strip-down, rebuild and modification of electrical equipment
- Interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams and drawings
- Electrical testing and fault finding
- Supporting commissioning and quality checks
- Working to high safety and quality standards
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in electrical assembly, wiring or build work
- Strong background in control panel wiring / equipment wiring
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
- Electrical testing and fault-finding experience
- Comfortable working in a workshop / manufacturing environment
Desirable (Not Essential)
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with loom / harness / cable assembly
- ATEX / CompEx background
- Oil & Gas, subsea or industrial equipment experience
