An established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineer with strong drainage design experience to join its growing infrastructure team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential development projects, supporting schemes from initial planning through to detailed design and delivery.
We are seeking a Civil Engineer with proven experience in drainage design to join a growing Civil Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and delivery of drainage solutions for a variety of residential and commercial development projects, supporting schemes from initial planning through to detailed design and construction. The role requires a technically competent engineer with experience in drainage modelling, SuDS design, flood risk assessments, and the preparation of technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Design surface water and foul water drainage systems for residential and commercial developments.
- Prepare drainage strategies to support planning applications and detailed design submissions.
- Undertake hydraulic modelling and drainage network analysis.
- Develop Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) solutions in accordance with local and national guidance.
- Assist in the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs).
- Liaise with Local Authorities, Lead Local Flood Authorities, Water Authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, specifications, and supporting design documentation.
- Coordinate with highways, structural, environmental, and infrastructure teams.
- Support project delivery from concept design through to construction stages.
- Attend client meetings and provide technical support throughout project lifecycles.
- Ensure designs comply with current legislation, industry standards, and company procedures.
