Business Development Consultant / Executive
Company: X2Consult Ltd
We are expanding and seeking a committed Freelance Business Development Consultant / Executive to help reach more organisations and secure further contracts. We specialise in event safeguarding, consultancy, audits, training, and child protection support, trusted by leading organisations across education, events, sports, charities, and local authorities. We seek someone with both business development expertise and safeguarding knowledge who can connect us with the right people and opportunities.
What You Will Do
- Freelance position, £30 per hour, with potential to grow as the business expands.
- Approx. 12–16 hours per month (flexible – can be spread across days or evenings).
- Focus on client acquisition and partnership development across events, local authorities, multi-academy trusts, charities, and sports organisations.
- Collaborate with the Managing Director to shape strategy, refine proposals, and attend virtual or in-person meetings (where required).
Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and engage with prospective clients and partners.
- Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities.
- Assist with proposals, tenders, and pitches.
- Represent X2 Consult with professionalism and integrity at all times.
- Provide monthly progress updates on leads and outcomes.
About You
- Background in safeguarding and child protection, with knowledge of principles, legislation, and sector expectations.
- Holds (or is willing to undergo) an Enhanced DBS check.
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders (event organisers, MAT CEOs, safeguarding leads, local authority managers).
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Passion for safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
