Your role
We are looking for a candidate who possesses excellent maintenance skills, can work independently, has a can-do attitude, and is able to work well with other members of our maintenance team. This position would suit a multi-skilled person with excellent communication skills. Crucial for this role is to be able to confidently work on IT systems such as using an electronic diary and in-house maintenance systems (training to be provided).
Responsibilities include:
- Providing a comprehensive maintenance & repair service to the tenants and landlords of the X1 properties.
- Working closely with our Property Managers to resolve reported issues inside the apartments in a timely manner.
- Skilled at DIY & general maintenance, for example; tiling, basic plumbing, joinery, painting and decorating, basic electrical works.
- Complying with safe working practices & reporting faulty equipment and potential hazards.
- Liaising with property managers daily to ensure that all scheduled jobs are completed and providing regular updates.
- Using in-house systems to keep an inventory and monthly audit of all maintenance tools and equipment.
- Communicating with clients in a professional manner and ensuring maintenance cards are left after every job attended to.

- Previous experience in a similar role.
- An ability to use initiative to achieve pro-active site maintenance.
- Building maintenance skills - painting, decorating, joinery and plumbing.
- Good interpersonal/communication skills as this will be a tenant-facing role.
- Carrying out works in an efficient and safe manner.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Good organisational skills.
- Work well as part of a team.
- Must have a full clean driving licence.
