Working Hours: 09:00 – 17:30
We are looking for someone with good depth of experience who can help contribute towards our test automation framework that fits between unit test coverage and the manual testing that we currently have in place. The purpose of the role is to reduce our manual testing overhead by developing robust test automation that provides long‑term value to the team.
Responsibilities
- Work to understand our architecture and products
- Develop and maintain reusable test assets for the functional and non‑functional testing of our products and services
- Understand and contribute towards CI/CD automation integration (where applicable and with support)
- Work closely with product development and platform teams to establish a good level of test coverage per the strategy
- Understand and translate requirements (user stories, bugs, tasks etc.) into automated tests
- Coordinate with teams on release management activities
- Defect management activities
- Reporting on automation framework operations
- Advocate for, and implement best test practices within the group
- Share test automation expertise and ideas with the broader group
- Stay up‑to‑date with new and modern testing tools and test strategies
- Comply with the company’s Health & Safety, Data Protection, Information Security, PCI & DSP policies and procedures
Skills Required
Essential
- Knowledge of common test automation frameworks
- Knowledge of test design patterns
- Experience testing APIs and web applications
- Programming skills in a well‑supported test automation framework language
- Working experience with common test tools (e.g. Playwright, Selenium, JMeter, Postman)
- Good understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps)
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies, levels and types
- Problem‑solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Desired
- Working experience of applying AI validation techniques
- Understanding of VOIP technology
- Experience testing desktop applications (Electron)
