As a Field Engineer you will be responsible for assisting in the smooth delivery of Surgery Connect, Surgery Assist, Surgery Insights, and Surgery Intellect powered by Tortus, to the customers' sites (mainly surgeries) around the country. This will include, but is not limited to, installing and setting up hardware, installing structured cabling, fault finding and assisting surgery staff in setting up PCs.
Key Tasks:
- Installation of new CAT5e cabling and enhancing the existing data cabling infrastructure, including installation of trunking.
- Conduct site surveys in surgery environments and provide detailed reports with your findings.
- Installation and configuration of VoIP phones/Phonebar/switches/routers as well as WIFI systems to existing or new structured cabling within a surgery environment.
- On-site customer support, to give demonstrations and ad hoc training at Go-Lives.
- Troubleshooting a range of issues, investigating, diagnosing faults, and working through to resolution.
- To keep up to date with X-on Health's emerging product range and its functionality. Attend regular product courses, where available on the Academy, as set out within the training plan.
- To ensure customer satisfaction at the highest level.
- Undertake SSRAMS and RA complying with the company's Health & Safety and Data Protection, Information Security, PCI & DSP policies and procedures.
- Proactively promote products and services, contributing to leads and referrals.
What will you need to be successful?
- Ability to complete work to a high standard whilst following Health & Safety regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of the installation of new cabling and enhancing existing data cabling infrastructures and VOIP/WIFI systems within a surgery or commercial environment.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for customer service.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
- Excellent time management skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Full clean UK driver's license.
- A DBS check is required.
