JOB ROLE:
This is an excellent opportunity for a Mobile Engineer to join the London based engineering team at X-Hire Platforms.
As a Regional Service Engineer, you\’ll visit a wide variety of customer sites within London, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and inspections to a high standard on our growing fleet of powered access machines. This is a great opportunity to join an ever-expanding powered access supplier, and to use your engineering skills in a varied role, working closely with the engineering team to provide the best possible service to our customers.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- You will be responsible for the fault-finding, servicing, repairs and maintenance of a range of powered access equipment on our customers work sites within the stated regions.
- Routine service and maintenance of all equipment and products.
- You will be required to complete all relevant supporting paperwork in line with company procedures.
- Carry out refurbishment of equipment and products where necessary.
- Promote teamwork between colleagues within the engineering department, to ensure delivery of an effective service performance.
- Liaise with relevant team members to estimate and advise on equipment repair costs also providing recommendations regarding write off, damage and recharge to customers.
- Ensure the service vehicle provided is fully equipped with frequently utilised spare parts at all times.
- Ensure daily service jobs attended to are completed electronically and communicated to our Engineering administrator promptly.
- Adhere to company guidelines on Health & Safety at Work.
- Adhere to damage process, ensure product damage is highlighted promptly and reported accordingly.
- Maintain and ensure maximum productivity in line with company targets.
- Represent the company and values of the business and portray a professional and business-like image to all customers, potential customers and other people you meet in the course of your work.
- Have health & safety at the forefront of everything task you carry out.
- Carry out any other tasks and duties as requested by your manager.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Relevant general maintenance qualification and proven experience gained within the plant rental sector preferred.
- Experience in plant, electrical engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics/fault finding.
- Have the ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.
- Good interpersonal skills and a good understanding of the importance of excellent customer service.
- IPAF CAP (Competent Assessed Person) Licence preferred but not essential
- IPAF Operators/Demonstrators Licence preferred but not essential
