We are looking for an experienced and people‑focused Project Manager to join our Transformation and Resources directorate on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This role plays a key part in delivering meaningful change across the organisation. You will help ensure that transformation initiatives are well planned, delivered on time, and create real benefits for colleagues, customers and communities. If you enjoy leading projects from concept through to delivery, bringing people together and using insight to drive improvement, this could be the role for you.

Please note this role is for a fixed-term contract ending 30th April 2027.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading transformation projects from planning through to delivery and evaluation, in line with our Agile based project framework.
  • Developing and maintaining project plans, RAID logs, communication plans and benefits frameworks.
  • Providing clear and timely project reporting that supports governance, decision making and oversight.
  • Supporting the Programme Manager by identifying dependencies, resourcing needs and delivery constraints.
  • Coaching and mentoring project team members to ensure high‑quality project documentation and strong delivery discipline.
  • Keeping stakeholders engaged through clear, tailored communication and regular updates.
  • Working collaboratively across departments, and with external partners where required, to deliver integrated project outcomes.
  • Using data, insight and customer and colleague feedback to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Leading and supporting a small team which may include a Junior Project Manager and a Project Support Officer.

What we are looking for:

  • A professional project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 or Agile, or willingness to work towards one.
  • Proven experience delivering complex projects and achieving measurable benefits.
  • Experience supporting colleagues through change and working confidently at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, including capturing feedback and insight from customers and colleagues.
  • Comfortable working with data to support evidence‑based decision making.
  • Creative communication skills and the ability to develop engaging project messaging.
