Are you a finance professional who enjoys seeing the story behind the numbers as much as the numbers themselves? We're looking for a fully-qualified Finance Business Partner to join Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG) in a key role that combines strong technical accounting with meaningful business partnering. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of our organisation, supporting housing services, shaping financial insight, and playing a central role in how we plan for the future.
As a Finance Business Partner, you'll oversee the production of management accounts and provide high-quality financial insight to support decision-making across housing services and the wider business. You'll work closely with managers and senior leaders, helping them understand performance, challenge assumptions, and make informed choices. You'll also play a key role in coordinating and shaping the annual budget process, ensuring plans are robust, realistic and aligned to organisational priorities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the big picture and the detail; from variance analysis and reconciliations through to strategic conversations about performance, risk and future planning. While the role profile includes line management, there is no immediate requirement to manage staff, though this may develop over time.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the production of accurate and timely management accounts for allocated service areas

- Act as a trusted business partner to housing and operational teams, supporting informed decision-making

- Experience producing management accounts and delivering high-quality financial management information
- Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues
- Experience of budget monitoring, forecasting and variance analysis
- Strong technical accounting skills, with attention to detail and confidence in reconciliations
- Advanced Excel and strong overall IT skills
- An interest in reporting, performance insight and using data to support better decisions
- A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to manage competing priorities
