We're looking for a customer-focused Data Collection Officer to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys planning and organising their own work, working independently out on site, and engaging directly with customers in their homes. You'll play an important role in gathering accurate, high-quality customer data to support the delivery of excellent services for our Heat Network customers.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, scheduling and carrying out home visits with tenants in our high-rise blocks, both by appointment and where no appointment has been made.
  • Conducting face-to-face interviews with customers in their homes and completing a structured questionnaire at each visit.
  • Accurately recording and submitting customer responses using digital systems.
  • Completing follow-up actions after each visit where required.
  • Working out on our estates for the majority of your time, alongside an electrician who will attend each visit.
  • Reporting weekly on completed visits and no-access appointments, and attending regular progress meetings at our Greenwood Road office.

Qualifications

  • Experience visiting customers or service users in their homes.
  • Experience interviewing, gathering information or collecting data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust quickly.
  • Confidence working with vulnerable customers or people with complex needs.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure information is complete and accurate.
  • Confidence using IT systems and digital devices to record information.
  • Good understanding of data protection, confidentiality and GDPR responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding principles and when to raise concerns.
  • Awareness of health, safety and risk when working in the community.
  • Calm, resilient and professional approach in challenging situations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity and treating everyone with respect.
