WYSE London is going through an exciting phase of growth and is looking for the best talent to join us on the journey. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Print Designer who has a clear understanding of our customer, an eye for colour and is able to work within the growing Design team to produce balanced and joyful prints to sit across all product categories. You will take a leading role in creating the full range of Wyse prints working closely with our Founder & Creative Director Marielle as well as the Design Manager. You will have an eye for colour and form with relevant industry experience and have a feminine yet versatile handwriting. This job would suit someone with 5+ years experience and a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Print/Textiles design and is looking for an environment in which they can thrive and develop.

Location: 4 days per week in our Shepherds Bush Office, x1 day from home (there may be exceptions when Critical Path requires).

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify relevant emerging print trends combined with vintage and competitor research to inform seasonal print boards and ranges.
  • Contribute towards seasonal mood, trend and colour boards in collaboration with the rest of the Design team.
  • Design a balanced range of prints appropriate for our customer and the product range which are joyful, sympathetic and uplifting.
  • Colour palette management – work closely with Creative Director and Design Manager to build colour palettes, thinking about key colours as well as ‘print only’ accents.
  • Design into colour stories so that print range is cohesive.
  • Create precise and comprehensive print packs that are clear for suppliers.
  • Extensive fabric knowledge and confident in suggesting/selecting new print bases.
  • Manage strike off approvals, commenting on colour matching and print quality, work closely with Buying teams to ensure production is in line with approved strike offs.
  • Liaise with factories and suppliers on a daily basis, ensuring smooth relationships and improved print methods.
  • Develop a key understanding of the Wyse Customer, stay up to date with trade, Instagram Live feedback and store visits.
  • Be proactive in reacting to trade and create new colourways of successful prints.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Excellent Adobe Creative Suite Skills including Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Keen eye for scale/colour/spacing and balance across prints.
  • A love of fashion with an eye on new and emerging trends and brands.
  • Broad industry and competitor awareness.
  • A team player who can work across multiple products and seasons and to tight deadlines.
  • Highly organised with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Able to work collaboratively across functions with buying and design teams.
  • A strong work ethic, integrity and reliability with a hands-on attitude.
  • Adaptable, proactive and responsive to change, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident communication skills, able to present ideas thoughtfully and clearly to senior management.
  • Excellent commercial handwriting with a strong eye for colour, proportion and detail.
