We are proud of our long-standing reputation for quality and customer service, and we are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our team at the Newtownards Road branch in Belfast. Role Overview: As the Assistant Store Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of the store. You will be responsible for leading and motivating the team, ensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales, managing operational tasks, and taking on store management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Support: Lead, support, and motivate the team to achieve high levels of performance and maintain exceptional customer service standards. People Management: Assist with recruitment, training, and induction of new staff, and support HR activities within the store. Operational Management: Manage daily administrative tasks such as cash handling, stock control, and ensuring the store runs smoothly. Sales & Commercial Focus: Use your commercial awareness to help drive sales and ensure adherence to trading compliance standards. Store Management: Take responsibility for the store when the Store Manager is on leave, ensuring continuity of operations. Ideal Candidate: Experience: A minimum of 12 months in a similar retail management position, with hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail environment. IT Proficiency: Familiarity with IT systems in retail management, including POS systems and stock management software. Key Holder: Ability to act as a key holder and be available for call-outs as needed. Customer Service: Passionate about providing excellent service and resolving customer issues. Leadership Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and develop the team. Hands-On Manager: A proactive, self-motivated manager who isnt afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved in daily tasks.
