Join our welcoming team as a Salaried GP at Stourport Medical Centre! At Wyre Forest Health Partnership, we are one successful and ambitious health partnership working at scale together to provide high quality innovative patient care. With practices situated in Kidderminster, Bewdley, Stourport and Hagley, WFHP serves both urban and semi-rural areas. The successful applicants will be based at Stourport Medical Centre, one of our established modern practices with the potential for cross organisational working.

We utilise the expertise of a large partnership, with a strong organisational structure already in place, allowing us to offer an excellent working environment and a good work/life balance. We are looking for keen and enthusiastic Doctors who can demonstrate commitment to the delivery of high-quality patient centred medicine.

Main duties of the job:
  • Support the development of specialist clinical interests.
  • Both salaried and partner GPs working as clinical leads for the partnership.
  • Opportunities for other business and leadership development within the organisation.
  • Each routine session is capped at 15 contacts.
  • No home visits - Dedicated home visiting is ANP led.
  • 6 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • 1 week guaranteed paid study leave per year.
  • Innovative back-room function that minimises the need to review long term condition blood results or clinical letters.
  • All GPs provided with a Laptop, Flexible working is supported.
  • Support from a multi-disciplinary team including Pharmacists, Physiotherapists and Care-coordinators.
  • Experienced Triage GPs who book appointments, all booked patient contact is GP appropriate.
  • Regular funded salaried away day teaching sessions, where you meet with other salaried GPs from across the Partnership.
  • Structured induction package tailored to meet candidate needs.
  • Regular educational meetings and supervision (both in site and cross Partnership).
  • Salary from £10,500 per session per annum dependent on experience.
  • Performance related pay and appraisal structure.
  • MDU Indemnity reimbursed by Partnership.

About us:

Wyre Forest Health Partnership has been operating since December 2014 as a single Partnership, operating out of 5 surgeries, 3 are purpose built. We operate at scale and are at the forefront of primary care delivery in how we organise ourselves, having management and leverage for a large number of primary care employees (300 employees, including 50 GPs). We also look after approximately 73,000 patients. We have a very strong quality improvement ethic and are always looking to improve.

WFHP is working towards the NHS goals to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions as soon as possible. We actively encourage new staff to take an interest in this and build sustainable practice into their roles.

Person Specification:
  • Evidence of continuous development.
  • Experience of working within Primary Care.
  • Experience working independently.
  • Auditing practices compliance against NICE technology assessment guidance.
  • Previous experience/equivalent in Primary Care/GP practice role.
  • Demonstrable track record of achievement in quality, patient safety and patient experience.
  • Experience of effective partnership and working with internal and external stakeholders.
