Are you passionate about horticulture and making a visible difference in your community? We’re looking for a Skilled Gardener to join our dedicated Parks team, helping maintain and enhance the borough’s parks, cemeteries, and landscaped areas.
As a Skilled Gardener, you will play a key role in maintaining the borough’s parks, cemeteries, and landscaped areas. You will support the Parks Area Team Leader in daily operations and take a lead role in their absence when required. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of equipment, including vehicles, portable appliances, hand tools, and machinery.
Your duties will include:
- Maintaining fine turf areas, ornamental gardens, sports pitches, and recreational spaces to a high standard.
- Carrying out grave digging tasks within the borough’s cemeteries.
- Completing playground inspections and recording your findings accurately.
While undertaking your duties, you will provide a professional and uniformed presence in public spaces.
