Join our Leisure, Healthy Lifestyles & Communities team and help ensure Wyre’s leisure services deliver high‑quality, customer‑focused outcomes. We’re looking for a proactive Leisure Contract Officer to manage and monitor the Wyre Leisure Contract’s Performance Management Framework. You’ll play a vital role in reviewing data, coordinating partnership meetings, assessing contract submissions, and ensuring the operator meets agreed performance standards. Your ability to analyse information, build strong working relationships and maintain efficient processes will help drive continuous improvement across Wyre’s leisure provision. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in leisure operations, contract monitoring or project management who wants to contribute to community wellbeing and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Performance Management Framework for the Wyre Leisure Contract.
  • Collect, review and benchmark performance data, and check contract compliance.
  • Assess operator submissions and report on performance against agreed standards.
  • Coordinate and manage partnership meetings, including agendas, minutes, actions and forward planning.
  • Review monthly, quarterly and annual reports for accuracy.
  • Manage the presentation and delivery of key plans such as the Annual Service Plan, Marketing Plan, PPM schedules and community engagement plans.
  • Support facility inspections, building maintenance coordination and monitoring of work schedules.
  • Work with finance to monitor leisure‑related budgets, utilities and invoices.
  • Produce reports for senior officers, Cabinet and scrutiny committees, including FOI responses.
  • Act as the first point of contact for complaints related to the leisure contract.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience of leisure operations and community leisure services.
  • Strong contract monitoring, data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective IT skills, particularly within leisure or activity‑based systems.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
  • Experience of complaint handling and customer‑facing services.
  • Experience of building management and works inspections.
  • Experience delivering participation or wellbeing‑focused projects.
