Wyre Council is looking for a hardworking and reliable Non‑LGV Driver/Labourer to support the delivery of essential frontline environmental services across the borough. Working within the Street Cleansing team, you’ll help keep Wyre clean, safe and welcoming for residents and visitors. This is a practical, hands‑on role involving outdoor work in all weather conditions, providing a visible and professional presence in local communities.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out bin emptying, beach cleaning and general cleansing duties across the borough.
- Undertake a range of labouring and loading tasks as part of street cleansing operations.
- Safely use equipment, portable appliances and hand tools in line with health and safety requirements.
- Help maintain a vigilant presence to deter vandalism, littering, fly‑tipping, graffiti and other forms of anti‑social behaviour.
- Engage positively and courteously with members of the public, offering excellent customer care.
- Support the team with additional duties as required to meet service needs.
