Marine Hall operates a seven day service. This role includes evening and weekend working, which is reflected in the salary. Additional hours are managed through the annualised hours scheme.

Job Purpose:

As a Customer Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering an excellent experience for all visitors at Marine Hall. Under the supervision of the Customer Operations Managers, you will ensure a consistently high standard of service and actively promote tickets, goods and services during each customer interaction. This is an exciting opportunity to step into venue operations, learn skills in retail, ticketing, event delivery and hospitality with real prospects for career development within an exciting cultural location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high standard of customer care.
  • Play an active part in achieving venue sales targets by maximising customer interaction and providing feedback to line managers.
  • Ensure all customer feedback is received and escalated as necessary.
  • Maintain high standards of venue marketing and presentation.
  • Support efficient venue changeovers.
  • With appropriate training, support the box office to manage show incoming.

Qualifications

  • Good level of literacy and numeracy (Essential)

Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail (Essential)
  • Understanding of a ticketing system (Desirable)
  • Good knowledge of event operations (Desirable)

Experience

  • Experience of working in a busy customer-facing environment (Essential)
  • Experience of ticketing systems (Desirable)
  • Experience of managing priorities (Essential)

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends (Essential)
  • The role includes weekend and evening work, with opportunities for overtime and rotas provided 3 weeks in advance.
  • Around 50% of time may be spent with the housekeeping team maintaining cleanliness of the venue with the remainder across customer facing functions to include box office, sales and show setup.
