Wynyard Hall is seeking a passionate and driven Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. Set within a luxury estate renowned for exceptional dining, weddings, and events, this role is ideal for a chef who takes pride in fresh, seasonal ingredients and high standards of presentation and consistency. The successful candidate will be responsible for running a designated section of the kitchen, supporting the senior chefs, and contributing to the delivery of outstanding culinary experiences across our weddings and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of your assigned section
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards in line with menu specifications
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene, health & safety, and allergen standards at all times
  • Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef with menu development and daily service requirements
  • Supervise and mentor Commis Chefs and Kitchen Porters as required
  • Ensure correct stock rotation, portion control, and minimal food waste
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation
  • Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie ready to step up
  • Experience in a high-quality restaurant, hotel, or events kitchen preferred
  • Strong knowledge of fresh food preparation and modern cooking techniques
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen compliance
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail
