Wynnstay Group is seeking a motivated and experienced Agricultural Warehouse Assistant at our busy Sturminster Newton store, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional service for our valued farmer customers.
Responsibilities:
- Picking orders, recording and checking stock, collating paperwork, yard picking
- Loading customers orders directly into their vehicles and preparing orders to be delivered directly to farms
- Dealing with customers face to face in a professional manner
- Placing all incoming goods in an organised and efficient manner, and identifying stock anomalies and taking appropriate action
- Storing chemicals and hazardous goods in the correct manner
- Operating a forklift truck whilst adhering to requisite Health and Safety standards
- Participating in any duties in the interests of Health & Safety, including COSHH compliance, spillage clean-up, and safe manual handling.
What we’re looking for:
- Ability to undertake a physically demanding, manual-handling role
- Willingness to operate a forklift safely and complete training if not already licensed
- Self-motivated, reliable and able to work independently
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Current Counterbalance Forklift Licence or similar qualification
- Previous agricultural knowledge or experience
- Experience working in a warehouse, yard or distribution environment
