Senior Demand Manager – Llansantffraid (Powys, SY22 6AQ) Are you an experienced demand professional ready to lead a high-impact function in a dynamic agricultural business? Wynnstay Group Plc, a leading UK agricultural supplies business, is seeking a proactive and driven Senior Demand Manager to lead and evolve our Manufacturing Demand Management operations across multiple sites. In this pivotal role, you’ll take full ownership of demand planning, MRP, order processing, logistics coordination, and mill/blend site scheduling, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled on time, in full, and at optimal value. You will lead a dedicated demand management team and work cross-functionally with manufacturing, sales, logistics, and planning teams to deliver performance and profit targets. This is a hands-on leadership role where strategic thinking meets operational excellence. You will be instrumental in driving system and process improvements, supporting enterprise management development, and building demand capability across the Group. The Opportunity: Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, your main responsibilities will include: Customer Demand Management Leading demand planning across all sales channels for effective demand coordination. Ensuring inventory accuracy and producing daily reports for group use. Developing and tracking daily/weekly manufacturing plans with KPI alignment. Coordinating raw material needs with seasonal and weekly demand. Reporting planning performance and forecasts for S&OP meetings. Supporting OTIF delivery through effective load planning. Resolving customer queries promptly and efficiently. Systems, Reports & Governance Implementing and maintaining efficient systems for accurate order processing and ERP integration. Producing and analysing KPIs for weekly and monthly reporting to senior leadership and governance meetings. Ensuring escalation and root cause analysis processes are in place for unplanned events. Supporting stock control and rotation systems, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and trade standards. Integrating sales campaigns into the demand planning process. Managing holiday and absence planning within the team. Acting as the subject matter expert for demand planning. Participating in governance meetings as needed. Demand Team Management Leading the demand management team across multiple group sites. Maintaining a manufacturing and logistics process map aligned with execution plans. Manages a non-conformance log to drive immediate actions and long-term improvements, reporting via S&OP. Developing action plans based on market conditions and demand forecasts. Reviewing product and sales history, along with seasonal data, to support product promotion and growth initiatives. Developing and maintaining a crisis management plan to address potential business disruptions. Mentoring and training direct reports, ensuring they are equipped to perform effectively. Staying professionally updated on industry developments and promoting a culture of continuous improvement across teams. The Person: Key Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership with a collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving. Deep understanding of demand management and ERP systems and frameworks. Proven ability to drive demand management across complex, multi-site operations. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience in agricultural, feed, or manufacturing industries is highly desirable. Qualifications and Experience Degree in a relevant functional discipline (e.g., Agriculture, Animal Feed, Food and/or Planning leadership. Minimum 5–7 years in Demand Management roles, ideally within agriculture, animal nutrition, or manufacturing. Demonstrable experience leading teams and implementing demand management systems at a senior level.
