Regional Store Performance Manager – South West England

The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Regional Business Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Overall financial performance of the stores, utilising financial reports to exceed budget sales, net margin, stock targets and contribution.
- Providing strong leadership, support, and development to key individuals within the stores, enabling each member to optimise their performance.
- Driving the growth and retention of loyal Wynnstay customers, and sales across all product categories through proactive sales strategies.
- Creating a store / profit improvement plan in each financial year.
- Preparing and fully contributing to the annual budget setting process.
- Ensuring exceptional service to our customers by training store teams by example.
- Implementing and participating in promotional campaigns.
- Working with other teams to ensure consistent product availability, creating storage solutions in preparation for peak seasons, and minimising distribution costs to stores.
- Weekly performance discussions with Store Managers.
- Ensuring all stores are staffed to acceptable levels across the area during trading hours.
- Site Health & Safety, compliance and environmental matters, including fire safety, site security, staff welfare, accident reporting, and First Aid.
- Ensuring adherence to all operational policies and procedures, including efficient stock management and cash/credit practices.
- Keeping abreast with a constantly changing industry, anticipating market trends, competitive threats, and commercial opportunities.
The Person:
The successful candidate:
- Able to demonstrate sound business management acumen, excellent communication skills and experience of trade dealings with farmer customers.
- Strong understanding of Store systems, agricultural product offering, sales and trade, and site operations requirements.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Efficient in time management, enthusiastic and driven to succeed, and able to work effectively on their own initiative.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
