Driven by our commitment to supporting our farmer customers through innovation, expertise, and outstanding service, we are seeking a highly motivated Product Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the day-to-day management and strategic development of designated product areas.
The Opportunity:
Working as part of the Category team, your main responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of assigned product categories, focusing on margin improvement, sales growth, and supply chain efficiency.
- Sourcing new products and identifying seasonal and promotional opportunities to enhance product range and customer engagement.
- Maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure the best pricing and terms, updating trading agreements at least annually.
- Supporting the annual budgeting process, ensuring financial targets are met within your area of responsibility.
- Executing the promotional calendar effectively, maximising commercial opportunities throughout the year.
- Providing technical product support and training to Wynnstay stores and sales teams.
- Developing and implementing a competitive pricing strategy based on market conditions and company objectives.
- Evaluating new product opportunities and trends within your sector.
- Collaborating with the wider buying team to improve procurement efficiency and supplier consolidation.
The Person:
- Proven experience in a product, category, or supply chain management role (preferably within the agricultural or retail sector).
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Understanding of seasonal trends and promotional planning.
- A passion for delivering value and driving business success.
