An innovative and fast-growing robotics automation company is seeking a driven and commercially focused Area Sales Manager to lead sales growth and partner development across the UK and Ireland. The business develops advanced end-of-arm tooling and intelligent automation solutions for collaborative and light-industrial robots, helping manufacturers simplify automation and improve operational efficiency. Its latest software platform is transforming deployment times and setting new standards within the automation industry.

The Role

You will take ownership of developing and executing the regional go-to-market strategy, managing existing distributor and integrator relationships while identifying and onboarding new strategic partners. Success in this role will come from building strong channel partnerships, driving partner revenue growth, supporting customer projects, and promoting a consultative sales approach across the full product portfolio. You will collaborate closely with technical, marketing, and commercial teams across Europe to deliver outstanding customer and partner support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the regional go-to-market strategy for advanced automation software solutions
  • Manage and expand distributor and integrator networks across the UK & Ireland
  • Identify and develop strategic end-user accounts in collaboration with channel partners
  • Build strong relationships with robot manufacturers and automation stakeholders
  • Organise partner events, demonstrations, exhibitions, and trade shows
  • Deliver product demonstrations across multiple robotic platforms (training provided)
  • Act as the primary regional contact for commercial and partner support activities
  • Work closely with technical engineers, marketing teams, and sales colleagues to support growth initiatives
  • Gather customer and partner feedback to support ongoing product development and innovation

This role requires regular travel throughout the UK & Ireland, with occasional European travel.

Key Success Measures

  • Achieve strong commercial growth across the region
  • Increase partner engagement and average revenue per partner
  • Ensure partners are fully trained and enabled to successfully position the solutions
  • Meet and exceed sales forecasts and targets
  • Develop strong technical understanding of products, applications, and robotic platforms
  • Represent the business at industry exhibitions and trade events

Candidate Profile

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in sales, ideally within technical software, robotics, automation, or industrial technology
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving targets
  • Experience in channel sales and partner development
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and execution-focused
  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and closing skills
  • Confident building long-term customer and partner relationships
  • Comfortable travelling extensively across the region
  • Strong technical aptitude alongside excellent networking and communication skills
  • Experience or interest in robotics, automation, manufacturing technology, or industrial software would be advantageous
