A leading organisation in the power generation sector is seeking a versatile Technical Support Engineer / Key Account Manager to strengthen its service capability across the EMEA region. This role blends hands‑on engineering, technical troubleshooting, project delivery, and client relationship management, supporting complex rotating machinery and power plant equipment. You’ll develop deep technical knowledge of turbines, generators, and control systems, support outages, resolve operational issues, and ensure high‑quality engineering output. Alongside this, you’ll work closely with key customers to identify service opportunities, support tenders, and contribute to long‑term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support & Engineering
    • Provide technical advice, troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance and repair support.
    • Prepare outage documentation, technical reports, and manufacturing packages.
    • Investigate equipment failures and liaise with suppliers on technical suitability and claims.
    • Support planned and unplanned outages (minimum two per year, typically up to two months).
    • Interpret and negotiate technical specifications for customer projects.
    • Support tender preparation and contract administration.
    • Coordinate with global engineering teams to resolve technical issues and maintain plant performance.
  • Key Account Management & Business Development
    • Build strong relationships with designated clients across EMEA.
    • Identify service opportunities and support strategic sales initiatives.
    • Provide technical input for proposals, tenders, and market intelligence.
  • Site Management
    • Manage site activities, daily logs, schedules, subcontractors, and safety plans.
    • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to high technical standards.
    • Complete project reviews and support smooth handover to clients.
