We are seeking a dedicated Sales Engineer / External Technical Specialist to join our team in the Devon location. In this position, you will play a vital role in driving sales growth by providing technical expertise and exceptional customer support to both new and existing customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's mission of engineering excellence.
The ideal candidate would have an engineering background (hydraulic systems or compressed air) in addition to a passion for excellent customer service with the ability to understand customer requirements and oversee the delivery of bespoke solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve growth targets within the hydraulic and pneumatic sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying new business opportunities.
- Provide technical advice and support to customers regarding product applications and solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop bespoke engineering solutions and system builds tailored to customer needs.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities and customer interactions using CRM tools.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
- Proven experience in technical sales within the engineering or industrial solutions industry.
- Hydraulic systems and/or compressed air experience.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A relevant technical qualification or degree is preferred; however, QBE will also be considered.
