LOCATION: Bedworth
HOURS OF WORK / SHIFT PATTERN: Mon – Fri 06:00 – 14:00, 14:00 – 22:00 rotating
SALARY: £40k
JOB PURPOSE: A Maintenance Engineer is expected to be an active working team member whilst also managing the work on shift when working on their own. They will be a multi-skilled engineer and a fully qualified Industrial Electrician.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Communication and liaison with other Departments and Managers/Team Leaders to enable priorities to be set.
- Provide on-call cover out of hours.
- Working such hours and shifts to provide cover to the site operations.
- Compliance with systems and practices utilised within the Engineering Department.
- The undertaking of such training that may be considered relevant and in turn train other employees.
- Exercising flexible attitudes to work.
- Notifying Management of spares necessary to maintain plant and equipment in safe working order.
- Maintain informative Engineering & Maintenance Records.
- Reactive and planned maintenance activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS7671: 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regs.
- ONC, BTEC Level 3 or equivalent in engineering discipline (Electrical or Mechanical).
- IOSH.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years’ experience of working in an industrial environment.
- Experience working with 3 phase motors and control circuits.
- Familiar with COSHH, LOLER & PUWER regs.
- Knowledge of food safety advantageous.
- Knowledge of industrial refrigeration advantageous.
- Management of contractors.
SKILLS:
- A good attention to detail.
- Work on your own and part of a team.
- Computer literate (Email, Microsoft Office).
- Good at maintaining records.
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair.
