Quality Inspector in Leicester

The company manufacture tailored machinery for various company\’s within the engineering sector, for example, Coil manufacturing, superconductor winding and taping machinery.

About the Role

The quality inspector role will involve helping the team control/ manage supplier quality.

Responsibilities

• Inspect supplied materials and products for compliance with specifications
• Measure components against engineering requirements
• Report and manage supplier quality issues
• Support corrective actions with the supply chain team
• Ensure cost-of-quality KPIs are achieved
• Conduct internal audits in line with ISO 9001
• Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives
• Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and procurement
• Inspect component finishes (phosphate, BZP, paint)
• Review supplier FAIR documentation
• Perform in-process inspections at supplier facilities
